Topic: From Lockdown To Leaping Up (6)
Text: Acts 3:1-8, Gen 28:10-22
Ministering: Pastor E.A Adeboye
Issues of how high can I leap was discussed last week and we were told that if God is the one lifting you, He can lift you to any height. But there is an important thing to note and that is
Before you take off, you must consider landing. It is very easy to take off but landing is more important.
Ecclesiastes 7:8.It is far better to remain ordinary than to become ex-successful. Never owning a car is better than to used to have a car and driver and not have any car of your own. You must settle the issue of landing before take off because one of the most dangerous things in life is to be successful when you are not ready.
2 Chronicles 26:3-21, Genesis 28:8-20, Deuteronomy 30:17, Hosea 4:17; 5:9, Luke 14:28-39. Before you begin to leap up, please think. Before you begin to plan great things, you need to plan. Great success is coming your way after this lockdown Isaiah 3:10,
Judges14:1-7. Out of the lockdown, mighty breakthroughs are coming for God’s children.
From out text Gen 28: 10-22.
1. Jacob was running away from home after stealing Esau’ s blessings. How can God talk to a thief? God spoke to him through his grandfather Abraham Gen 12:1-3, Gal 3:13-14
2. Jacob didn’t steal Esau birthright, he bought the birthright through trade by barter.Gen 25:29-34.
God’s word is clear about trade by barter Luke 6:38, Proverbs 11:24-25, Ecclesiastes 11:3, John 3:16. God told Jacob that I want to be with you, I want to make you great and Jacob made a vow to pay his tithes Gen 14:17-20.Gen. 3:8-11, Galatians 3:29. He partnered with God.
The results of this partnership is seen in Gen 37:3-10. Gen 39:27-43. Genesis 31:1-13. If you make God your partner, every time you sleep, He will show you ways to do business that will baffle the world. He will give you ideas that will make you great.
Gen 46:26-27 Jacob went to Egypt with 70 souls including children. He was locked down in Egypt for a while but when He was leaving Egypt, there were 600 thousand men, not counting women and children Exodus 12:37.
If you want to partner with God, you must make Him your Senior Partner. He must take charge and be in control. You must allow Him into your boat. Luke 5:1-7.
Before you take off, consider your landing, who will be your partner?
