Prince Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashod Al Maktoum(Dubai Crown Prince) has indeed shown generosity by paying the hospital bills of a stranded Nigerian mother and her quadruplets.

A 29year(s) old woman, Suliyat Abdulkareem gave birth to their babies, two boys, and two girls, at the Latifa Hospital For Women And Children on July 1st.

According to CNN, they were born prematurely at nearly 31weeks through an emergency c-section and placed on ventilators at the neonatal intensive care unit.

The family, having no medical insurance, was billed with AED400,000(about $108,000) in medical expenses since the quadruplets were born.

The Nigerian Community and other nationals in Dubai helped by raising AED42,000(around $11,500) to settle part of the bill.

Father of the quadruplets, Abdulkareem, then announced to CNN that he was shocked by the ruler’s generosity so they decided to name two of their babies after him and one of the girls Latifa after the hospital.

Mr. Abdulkareem who happens to be a chef at a restaurant said that he was disturbed and had sleepless nights on how to settle the bills.

Mina Tahlak, CEO LATIFA HOSPITAL, also said that he was overwhelmed that the country’s ruler has pledged to cover the full medical bills of the quadruplets who are still being cared for at the health facility.
